Just in case y’all were having a hard time with signing up for the new “Newsletter” over at Dot-Comville the other day here’s a short cut.

Love ya,

Tickled Red

Pack your bags we are moving our fun-filled shenanigans on over to a gorgeous new home in Dot-Comville. There’s a new kitchen with fab recipes coming real soon, a gym for the monkeys and of course a place for my baby and his stinky, yet oh so sexy wetsuits. I may even let him store a few surf boards somewhere.

Remember as with all moves you need to have your mail changed… just in case. I would hate to leave anyone behind inadvertently.

Hurry up…I miss you guys like crazy 🙂

If I wasn’t half asleep I would have that ready for breakfast this morning, but I’m sleep typing so enjoy the cereal guys.

If I wasn’t such a tease this would be an actual post, then again I like messing with y’all just a little.

If you like it I will make more…I promise. I just can’t say how long it will take me.

If I’m awake after work tonight I’ll add more photos and some words. Maybe even let you all know what that slice of lovely is.

Tickled Red aka Morning Sleep Walker

When you wake up with a start and notice that there is light coming through your window rather than darkness, you know that you’re late. The question is how late? Your heart’s nearly beating out of your chest as you run up and down the halls like a sadistic version of Wee Willy Winkle yelling…”Get Up!  Get UP!  WE’RE LATE!!!”

Children flinching and flinging themselves out of bed like rockets. Stumbling from their covers only to crash into one another in a tangle of limbs as they vie for the bathroom. Ending up a human pretzel squirming on the floor. There’s nothing like having your brothers toe in your ear or a finger up the nose first thing in the morning.

Your love? He’s still in bed, gasping like a fish from the karate chop blow he inadvertently took to the stomach as you flung yourself into furious motion this morning. He’s all manly and tough so he can surf with a bruised liver, no biggie right? Shower…Makeup… Brush? Ha! You’re lucky if you remember to brush your teeth and your shoes match. If anyone at work notices that you’re wearing a flowered shirt with plaid shorts you can always tell them that you’re trying out ideas before Halloween.

Breakfast? Hopefully you have some cereal in the house since it travels so well in a bowl, minus the milk of course. But if your pantry is bare there’s a good chance something has been left in the car. A pack of crackers or a snack pack wedged under a seat? Possibly an extra bag or two in the bottom of their book bags, crushed but edible nonetheless. I know for a fact goldfish live in my van.

Maybe you make the bus, maybe you don’t but at school they eventually end up. You’re left walking into work with your face feeling like a puffer fish and looking like Bozo’s long-lost sister…literally. Just make sure that your fly’s zipped. Thank goodness you work for a company with two coffee pots and bags upon bags of Starbucks Dark Roast stocked in the cabinet. They won’t notice one of those bags depleted by lunch…hopefully.

Are y’all ready for your day?

Yep…same here.

Tickled Red

Hi guys,

I just wanted to drop you all a quick line to wish you a happy Monday and say that I hope you all had a fabulous weekend. Ours, well technically mine, was a bit busy but loads of fun. I am working on a couple of posts for you today, one of which I will share with you all what I did this weekend while my guys were off playing with their dad. In the meantime enjoy your first Monday of October.

Love Ya,
Tickled Red

Monday Quote

“I’m lost but I’m making record time!”

-A pilot somewhere over the Pacific

We may not shower him with praise
Nor mention his name in song,
And sometimes it seems that we forget
The joy he spreads as he goes along,
But it doesn’t mean that we don’t know
The wonderful role that he has had.
And away down deep in every heart
There’s a place that is just for Dad…..

Monkey One & Monkey Two

Monkeys have stolen my laptop, send a zoo keeper please…or a pad lock! Red

Hi ya’ll I just wanted to let you know that we are still here and that we do plan on announcing the winner of the Lowe’s Gift Card as soon as our my life settles down a bit. It has been one crazy chaotic week with entirely more aspects of life to juggle than I initially planned for.

In a nut shell…

We have had M2 wrapping up his last week of school, so I have been there more than usual (Tuesday can’t come soon enough).

Swim practice every evening has killed my cooking and baking, this change in our schedule and how we usually eat enlightened me to the fact that fast food more than once during the week is not my friend. Say goodbye to a full day on that discovery… enough said.

M2 had a swim meet yesterday at 8am along my little brother Blaine’s graduation from high school at 12:30. I will let ya’ll do the math on that one. Oh did I forget to mention that I am responsible for the concessions/food at all home meets? Friday I lived at Sam’s Club and the pool. Yesterday, starting at the crack of dawn, I ran around like a mad woman.

Needless to say yesterday got away from me along with all thought of consuming food or drink. Which enabled me to have another enlightening revelation , I am not 20 years old anymore. There is such a thing as blood sugar and if you do not feed and hydrate it regularly you will get a wicked migraine. Seeing purple spots through one working eye type of migraine. So after a graduation cookout at my mom’s with family and friends, as well as a visit with some neighbors that we have missed, I crawled into a dark hole and crashed around 9 pm without a thought to the giveaway.

Today my dad is throwing a graduation cookout as well but this time I am arriving as a well feed, water drinking, smart and savvy middle aged woman. Not the adrenaline sustained bozo that I was yesterday. The monkeys and I will try our best to do something fun today for the giveaway and I will do my utmost to get it posted no later than tomorrow along with the new Monday is Giving. I’ll be honest the craziness here will not subside until Tuesday evening and I plan to have a much deserved glass of red wine waiting for me at the end of the night.

Now don’t get me wrong other than the unforeseen stomach illness and the wicked migraine I have had a great week. I love being at M2’s school seeing what he has been up to. I adore the fact that my little brother is growing up and moving on to new adventures and I am enjoying all the craziness that goes along with family and friends being in town to share in the festivities.

So I am still TICKLED, I am just not happy that I let the giveaway post slip past me and that I have to keep ya’ll waiting. That doesn’t please me at all. So again I apologize and it will be coming soon.

I hope that you all have a great Sunday.

Love ya,

Tickled Red
